I'm an RA for next year! But I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I had to choose between two very different paths. Living off-campus, cooking and all that stuff would be a totally different experience from my first year. Now I'm going to live on campus again, eating the same food, but I have to look over incoming freshmen with other many duties. I hope I made the right decision. And what sucks is that I'm leaving in a week. =( tim | | Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 | | 10:08 pm |
Summer School is over!!
Thank God Summer School is finally over!! =) Too bad I have work though. uGH. And even worse, school starts in about a month, meaning I'll be leaving in around 3 weeks =( I don't want to go back. period. | | Saturday, July 1st, 2006 | | 9:02 pm |
So I've been back from Brazil for a while now and who ever knew I would enjoy soccer so much! Going to Brazil was such an awesome experience that I will never forget and I would love to go back. The people are awesome. The culture is awesome. Everything about the trip was just amazing. God is indescribable. Anyways, France played really well today and Brazil just didn't play too well. Plus, their coach had the worst line-up ever. The Portugal vs. England game was really really awesome. It was an exciting game! Now that Brazil is out, I'm rooting for Portugal. Then Germany. With Christiano Ronaldo, Ricardo, Deco, Maniche and alot of awesome players, I'm pretty sure they will at least get to Finals. tim Time to play some emo music. Brazil o6
So here I am in front of my laptop and right now I SHOULD be packing, but I just don't really want to. My flight is at 9:41 a.m., but I have to get up at 6:30 a.m. to get ready to go to the airport. That gives me a little less than 5 hours to sleep if I were to sleep now, but I can't! bAH! haha. Ah well, I'm really nervous about going on this trip. I mean, I've been away from home for long periods of time by myself, but BRAZIL without my family feels a bit weird. I mean, first off, I'm on a totally different continent for over 2 weeks! Secondly, I will be with people I don't even really know. I mean, about 6 other college friends are going and one who I'm pretty good friends with now, but we've known eachother for like less than 9 months still! So yeah, I'm a bit nervous. Other than that, I will be going into the Amazon Jungle, where its like WILD and and and...there's a lot of diseases!! haha. I don't know. But yeah, I'm excited to go build houses for people that need shelter, but AHHHH! lol. Please pray for my team and for our safety. =] Expect the Unexpected. College Freshman Year 05 - 06
My last night in my dorm Kern Hall 133A-2. It feels funny and I can't concentrate on studying for my last calculus final for tomorrow. This year seriously has gone by way too fast. I think it went by the fastest of any year I can remember in my life. I'm going to miss the people here and I already miss the people who left. But yeah, life goes on. Until we meet again right? | | Wednesday, March 15th, 2006 | | 4:50 pm |
life has its ups and downs
Things are going better I should say. I mean, I don't hate this place as much as I thought I did now. But there is just so much homework and junk to do! I miss swimming very much. Yesterday, I found out I will be living off-campus next year most likely. well, more like 99.9% sure. lol. I can't wait till Spring Break though. I'll be back in SP on March 25th at night. Well that's the plan for now. happy birthday to Amu Lu too. it was yesterday, but she's now a full grown adult. time sure does fly by fast when i remember her as this dinky 12 year old with a blinding forehead. haha..jk jk, you know i'm kidding! I hope you had a great and awesome day because you deserve it very much. =] brazil - june o6 I really cannot wait! I've raised $92.00 so far! I am going on a missions trip with CPC (the church I go to in Merced) to help build houses for a fishing village. =] tim p.s. dude, does someone know my password or something? because the format is so much nicer now and i didn't even try changing it! | | Saturday, February 4th, 2006 | | 4:28 pm |
I wonder.
The other day, I was reminded about OSS and my awesome kids because of Whitney Muhlestein. Apparently there was this leadership fair held at SPMS and a little boy that was in my cabin went up to her and asked her if she knew "tim chung". Actually he said something like this "Do you know tim chung? He was my OSS counselor." But still, it amazes me that they still remember me. Since OSS and before going to college, I've walked around South Pasadena and I've actually seen some of them around, even those who were not in my cabin. I may not remember some of them, but they still remember me and say hi. So whenever I get some random kid saying hi to me, I ask them if it was from OSS and then I remember. It's funny what one week and a bunch of crazy kids can do to you. I feel that in some small way, my life was changed. Sometimes I wonder what they'll be like in the future, if they'll become doctors, lawyers, teachers, or even our future President. They brought me so many great memories that I will NEVER forget. I wish I could just hang out with all of them one day before they grow up and get corrupted by our insane world. I miss their buoyant spirit and energy. It makes me think of OSS when I went during 5th grade. My cabin leader was Alan (Alex's godbrother or something) and I still remember the people in my cabin. Or most of them at least. There was Ramzy Assaf, Alex Twu, Daniel Chiu, Collin Kupka, Ran Kang, and I don't remember the last person or two, but the point is that I had the time of my life. It was one of the first times in my life I cried when I got home because I missed it so much. From the night hike, to the funky dancing, to the yummy food. HMmm. And who could ever forget all those stamps we earned by eating full apples or doing random things? It was seriously awesome. I don't remember much of it because it was so long ago, but I do have a chance to remember what happened about a little more than a year ago. I will update one day soon about my 2nd OSS experience. Anyways, back to reality, and I have piles of homework to finish. This RA Application sits right next to me with three horrible essays waiting to be written. I need to do this fast, because I have other things to do too. Time sure does fly by fast. So I really need to enjoy every moment of it. - tim chung So I just found out which kid it was. It was Theo. =] | | Monday, January 16th, 2006 | | 10:05 pm |

First College Finals
I am very proud to hear that Whitney Muhlestein has gotten into Harvard on Wednesday and Megan Tsui got into Johns Hopkins yesterday. Congratulations to both of you and know that I am extremely proud of you both. =] Writing Portfolio was due today. Wow. It was seriously the biggest waste of time. It was really really lame and pointless. I pulled an all-nighter just for that. pSH. Now I have to study for my CHEM 2 Final tomorrow, Saturday Morning @ 8:00 a.m. I have to wake up earlier than I usually do! uGH. Time to start studying and maybe pull another all-nighter? No sleep for 48 + hours? I think not. It has already been 36 hours. Wish me luck! I need straight A's for MEDICAL SCHOOL. tim | | Friday, December 9th, 2005 | | 11:18 pm |
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Such a great movie. I can't believe I've never heard of it before. Plus, I finally had a great time in a long time. Will, Monica, Eric, Jon, Kingston. Such great people =] I guess I'll be reading those books soon! But I heard it doesn't compare to Harry Potter. Well, fine except the first one might be close. Thank You Jesus for the Cross. | | Wednesday, December 7th, 2005 | | 2:18 am |
